If you like to have a beer every so often, leave your money out of the casino if you are going to do your consuming in a casino. I am serious. Clean out your pocketbook, your money belt, and keep all cash, credit cards and checks out of the casino. Only take whatever cash you anticipate to spend on alcohol, tipping and whatever pocket change you anticipate to burn and leave the remainder behind.
Pessimistic? Not at all. Just realistic. You could experience a success following a boozy night out with your comrades and be lucky enough to hook a marathon toss at a hot craps table. Hang on to that adventure considering that it is as short-lived as it gets if you consistently drink alcohol and gamble. These activities simply do not go well together.
